PJ’s Sunday Blessing

PJ’s Sunday Blessing

It is a beautiful morning in Fishers, Indiana as we once again prepare to worship our loving, caring, forgiving God. The snow has melted, and underneath you can see spring just waiting! The third week in Epiphany reminds us that surprises come when we patiently wait. The world had been waiting and waiting and waiting for the promised Messiah, and, suddenly, he was there. And, little by little, he was introduced to a waiting world; some welcomed him openly; some tried to ignore him; some tried to pretend that he was’t really there; some openly fought him. It isn’t much different today when we know that Jesus is with us. Some welcome him…you know the rest. Today, pray that all will welcome our Savior; that all will welcome others in Jesus’ name. Pray for love and peace and tolerance and hope for all people. See you in church....

What is The Soul of Aging?  Based on the pioneering work of Dr. Parker J. Palmer, a process called the Circle of Trust® approach has been developed through the Center for Courage & Renewal that is designed to create a safe, confidential, and sacred space where participants support one another in accessing their deepest wisdom and courage. I am excited to be offering this to our congregation; participating in an institute I was prepared to lead this program was part of my sabbatical experience and funding. Through this curriculum, we...

What Are You Thirsting For? Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink’, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10 Jesus has come to bring light to world, bearing God’s Spirit and offering to all the gift of new birth, to become children of God. What Jesus offers is what we are thirsting for. Sometimes, though, we hardly know who we are, much less what we need. But, Jesus knows us and offers us what our spirits, souls, and communities need. This is a drink that is brimming with light and life.  A worship series of the gifts of Jesus, from Epiphany to...
