During the month of December, we cover these exciting topics:
December 3- “Come Together: The Healing Power of Friends and Family”- This program features a German film about the heartwarming—albeit unorthodox—efforts of a grandfather to bring his family together during the holidays. This hour of conversation dedicated to reminding us all of the importance of slowing down and enjoying relationships.
December 10- “My Son is Gay: When Faith and Sexual Orientation Collide”- This program looks at the intersection of faith and sexual orientation. We hear the story of a family that struggled through questions of faith, family, values, and love.
December 17- “How to Sniff Out a Scam: Practical Tips for Giving Wisely”- This program features a recorded interview with a woman who rallied her community to raise money for a friend who lied about needing cash for cancer treatment. Participants will get tools that will help them tell which charitable appeals are legitimate and feel comfortable giving to worthy causes.
December 31- “Living a Lie: The Perils of a Double Life”- This program features the filmed story of Carol Grever, a woman who discovered after 30 years that her husband had been living a double life. Come join the conversation as we gain insights into coping with the pain of discovering a lie and follow Grever’s journey toward forgiveness, growth, and hope.
