“Pyoca,” according the coffee mugs in the dinning halls and cabins, “is not a place… it’s an experience.” We learned this for ourselves last weekend. Curt Roseboom, Erin Caskey, and myself had the time of our lives, and the youth claimed it was one of the best trips ever.
We enjoyed a walk around the lake in a light mist, a muddy game of kickball on the first ‘sunny & seventy’ day of the year, and we heard some of the best ghosts stories you’ll ever hear (all from Anika!).
Oh yeah, and our minds were blown by this incredible NOVA documentary–http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/physics/fabric-of-cosmos.html#fabric-time–, and these words from Ecclesiastes: “I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already is.” I think that means there already is an equally awesome PYOCA trip somewhere in the future portion of Brian Green’s “bread loaf of time.”
