Usually, the Home Sweet Home fundraiser for Family Promise is a dinner, with lots of mingling and plenty of stalking of the dessert table to decide which item will receive the table’s bid in the Dessert Auction.  Like many things, COVID-19 put an end to that.

But not to the sweet satisfaction of raising money to provide homes.

This year, while remaining safe, congregations around Indianapolis raised a little over $98,500 in one evening.

The Dessert Auction itself garnered $55,000+.  Congratulations to Castleton UMC for winning the inaugural Cake Trophy in the 2020 Home Sweet Home Dessert Auction.  Bet it doesn’t taste as good as the Spicy Chocolate Caramel Corn Layer Cake that Faith Presbyterian Church won last year!
