Over 40 million Americans are family caregivers. It can be a rich and rewarding experience. It is also all-consuming and exhausting. “Depending on the nature of the care that’s required, it can really derail or change the whole landscape of how an individual goes about the day-to-day world,” said Kamilah Williams-Kemp, vice president, long-term care at Northwestern Mutual. “I don’t know if people realize the full extent they may be required to step in and lend a hand.”

Navigating Caregiving: it’s not just patients who need help is the February episode of Wellspring Café. It is an opportunity to note the stress of caregiving – whether you are one or know one or will one day become one. We explore what is emotionally and practically helpful for caregivers.

In our aging American population, most of us have friends and family who are caregivers. Invite them to find time for 60-minutes of community, conversation, and support.

How do you care for yourself as you care for others?
What do you do to manage emotions in the midst of caregiving stress?

Share your experiences and thoughts at Navigating Caregiving on Monday, February 6, 6:30 PM on Zoom OR Tuesday, February 7, at 2 PM in person. Register for the Zoom event here.
