May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. According to the Pew Research Center, “The vast majority of Asian Americans (81%) say violence against them is increasing, far surpassing the 56% of all U.S. adults who say the same.”
Since the first Asian immigrants landed in the United States, they and their American descendants have been met with bigotry, racism, bias, fear, and violence. Indiana is not exempt.
Let us honor our fellow Asian Americans with love, peace and understanding.
