For years we have heard about the failure of healthcare for people of color, especially around maternity (read here and here). Inside Indiana recently shared a story of a Fort Wayne, Indiana company Navigate Maternity, led by three Black women, to address the high maternal mortality statistics. This is especially important in Indiana, a state with poor maternal mortality statistics. The company uses data and technology to provide intervention before a health situation becomes an emergency. We look forward to hearing about this company’s success helping those who are often left behind.
