In 2020, Time Magazine asked historians to name nine women who weren’t properly recognized in their own time. Seven of them were women of color.
We often hear about women’s suffrage during Women’s History Month, and recognition of the contributions of women of color is more and more frequent. This month is a time to remember that women have contributed to every part of our lives and history, and women of color have always been part of the story.
