The Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris recently concluded. Participants represented many countries, backgrounds, and races. These Olympics and those in the past have drawn attention to discriminatory issues as well providing opportunities to recognize athletes of color, tell stories about their determination, and raise issues of racial justice. Looking at the Olympics as not just sports is a different way to view these events.
