The Love One Another group attempts to focus on learning more about others and finding opportunities to reach out to others who are both different from us and have so much in common as well. There are many others working to improve such connections. After living here almost 40 years, I made a recent discovery about Indianapolis – we have an organization which focuses on Race and Cultural Relations. This organization has been around since 1994. The Race and Cultural Relations Leadership Network is a standing committee of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC). They hold monthly meetings which are recorded (you can view and listen to the recordings online). Some recent accomplishments include Policing, Cultural Art inclusion, Violence Prevention, Strategizing, and local school support. You can find more details in the Annual Report. Maybe you can find a similar organization near you!
