Brandon Meeks is a local bass player in Indianapolis. He was recently named Indiana’s winner of the Creative Capital State of the Art Prize, which recognizes ambitious artistic proposals. He is currently working on a performance project to honor local musicians – “Unsung Giants”- to raise more recognition for the value of Indiana and its musicians to the history of jazz music.
